Services For Families

We provide services to schools and families in Staffordshire, Derbyshire, and the West Midlands. We would be delighted to chat about your particular requirements, or to give you some advice.

​Assessment

 

Sessions usually last 60-90 minutes and include a case history, discussion about concerns, and formal and/or informal procedures and observation. Assessment may take place over several sessions for more complex communication disorders.

A brief summary letter is provided following assessment.

​Therapy

 

This may involve direct individual therapy, small group work,  targeted programmes of activities and advice, or a combination of these. Therapy routinely includes support and training for families, nursery and school staff. We also offer groups for stammerers, and 'More Than Words' groups for parents of children with ASD and social communication difficulties from a Hanen certified therapist.

Report Writing

 

Detailed reports are available, including those for Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) applications.
